Cal State LA Athletics

2009: Was a contributor for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in 24 games and started 17 times. Hit .250 with three home runs, one double, eight runs and eight runs batted in. Went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and a season-high four RBI in a 12-6 win against San Francisco State in the nightcap of a doubleheader on Feb. 20. Went 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI in a 9-4 win in the opener. Went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in a 10-7 win over Concordia-Irvine on March 31. Hit a pinch-hit, game-tying solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning against Cal State Stanislaus on April 10.

At Central Arizona College: Hit .298 as a sophomore with two home runs and helped the team win the Region 1 championship. Hit .415 as a freshman and helped team win a Region 1 championship.

At Hamilton High School: Was an All-State catcher in 2005.

Personal: Son of Danne and Rindy Quiroz. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys X-box, working out and cards. Lists taking third place in the 2008 NJCAA World Series as his most exciting experience in sports.
