Summary

Biography

2009: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 43 games and started 42 times. Hit .384 with 56 hits in 146 at bats. Had one home run, 18 doubles, two triples, 29 runs scored and 27 runs batted in. Was second on the team in batting average. Led the team with 11 stolen bases in 11 attempts. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Went 4-for-5 a triple and three RBI in a 14-8 win at Cal State San Bernardino on March 13. Was also 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI in a 14-5 win at Cal State Monterey Bay on April 4. Went 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and one RBI in an 11-2 win at Cal Poly Pomona on April 25 and went 4-for-5 with two doubles, one run scored and one RBI in a 13-7 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in a CCAA Tournament game on May 8. Hit his first career home run and had two runs scored and two RBI against Cal Poly Pomona on Feb. 11. Had 14 multi-hit games, including four four-hit games and two three-hit games. For his career, appeared in 69 games and started 66 times. Hit .338 with 74 hits in 219 at bats. Had one home run, 22 doubles, two triples, 42 runs scored and 29 RBI. Also stole 19 bases in 21 attempts.

2008: Was one of the Golden Eagles’ top base-stealing threats. Appeared in 26 games and started 24 times. Tied for the team in lead in stolen bases with eight thefts in 10 attempts. Collected 18 hits in 73 at bats. Scored 13 runs. Picked up a season-high three hits in the second game of a doubleheader at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 9. Also scored a season-high three runs in that contest. Also had two hits and two runs scored in the second game of a doubleheader against Chico State on Feb. 23. Had six stolen bases in the team’s first five games.

At Alcorn State: Hit .302 with 38 stolen bases and one home run.

At High School: Competed in baseball and basketball. Was the team’s Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Pitcher and also won the Panther Award in baseball. Earned All-State and All-Tournament honors, won the Leading Scorer Award and was a finalist for Mr. Basketball.

Personal: Son of Timothy and Sharon Lloyd. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys working out and hanging out with teammates. Lists playing baseball in St. Cloud, Minnesota as his most exciting experience in sports.
