2024: Made a successful return to the Golden Eagles roster in his final year with the program. Appeared in 13 games with two starts. Had a 1-1 record with a 5.34 earned run average and three saves. Made his season debut and tossed three scoreless innings of relief at Hawaii Pacific on Feb. 1. Picked up the victory after allowing only two hits and one run over 3 1/3 innings of relief in a win over La Sierra on Feb. 16. Picked up the first save of his career with three scoreless innings of one-hit relief against Cal State Dominguez Hills. Didn’t allow an earned run over his last six appearances, covering 8 2/3 innings from April 7-May 3. Picked up saves in back-to-back appearances at San Francisco State on April 27-28 with shutout innings in each game. Allowed only an unearned run over three innings in his final appearance against Stanislaus State on May 3. Struck out a season-high five and didn’t walk a batter. For his career, appeared in 32 games with nine starts. Had a 2-3 record and a 6.67 earned run average and three saves. Walked 40 and struck out 73.

2023: Was not on the team roster.

2022: Was a key part of Cal State LA’s pitching staff until suffering a season-ending injury in March. Started seven games for the Golden Eagles and was 1-2 with a 7.53 earned run average. Had 35 strikeouts and 34 2/3. Pitched six strong innings to pick up his first career win in a 10-2 victory at Cal State San Marcos on March 6. Allowed only five hits and two runs while walking two and striking out three. Pitched a career-high 6 2/3 innings and struck out a career-high nine against Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 19. Pitched six or more innings in his last four starts. Earned 2022 California Collegiate Athletic Association Spring Honor Roll recognition.

2021: Earned 2020-21 CCAA All-Academic honors and 2021 CCAA Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2020: Was showing tremendous improvement in his second year with the program when the season was halted. Made seven relief appearances and had a 0-0 record with a 3.21 earned run average. Walked nine and struck out 11 in 14 innings pitched. Was second on the team in appearances and tied for fifth in strikeouts. Didn’t allow a run in six of his seven appearances. Allowed only two hits and no runs over 7 1/3 innings in his final three appearances. Walked two and struck out eight over that stretch. Allowed no hits and had a career-high four strikeouts in three shutout innings at Stanislaus State on March 7. Allowed only one hit and struck out three in 3 2/3 shutout innings at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 28. Earned 2019-20 CCAA All-Academic and 2020 CCAA Spring All-Academic honors.

2019: Made immediate contributions as a freshman in his first year with the program. Appeared in five games, all in relief, and pitched a total of 7 2/3 innings. Finished the season with a 0-0 record and a 14.09 earned run average. Made his collegiate debut and pitched 2 1/3 innings against Colorado Mesa on Feb. 9.

At Rio Mesa High School: Was the 2018 Pacific View League Pitcher of the Year. Earned first-team All-League honors in 2017 and 2018 and second-team honors in 2016. Earned second-team All-County recognition in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Personal: Son of Brent and Rosa Jacques. Earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Enjoys golfing, fishing, video games and thrifting. Lists winning league championships three years in a row and hitting a pinch-hit home run for his first high school home run as his most exciting experiences in sports. Notes he has two older sisters, Jessica and Amanda.
