Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Was one of the team’s best pitchers in his one year with the program. Appeared in 11 games and made eight starts. Had a 2-3 record with a 5.83 earned run average in 41 2/3 innings pitched. Walked 23 and struck out 28. Was tied for second on the team with the eight starts. Made his Cal State LA debut and pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief against Hawaii Hilo on Feb. 4. Made his first start and pitched four strong innings in a 10-5 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 8. Allowed only three hits and an unearned run while walking three and striking out four. Picked up his first win of the season in a 5-1 win at Cal State Monterey Bay. Allowed two hits and one run over five innings. Pitched a season-high 6 1/3 innings and allowed seven hits and two earned runs in a 5-4 win over Cal State East Bay on April 5. Struck out a season-high seven.

At Warren High School: Was the team’s Pitcher of the Year in 2023. Received the team’s Coaches’ Award in 2022 and helped the team win San Gabriel Valley League championships in 2021 and 2022. Received the Mary Stauffer Student-Athlete Award in 2021.

Personal: Son of Glenn and Analisa Hungerford. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys baseball, cars and working out. Lists winning the San Gabriel Valley League championship in back-to-back years as his most exciting experience in sports.
