Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Made significant contributions for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in 13 games and made eight starts. Was tied for second on the team in starts. Had a 1-5 record with a 9.80 earned run average and 29 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings. Made his Cal State LA debut and first start at Hawaii Pacific on Feb. 2. Allowed two hits and four runs in 2 2/3 innings. Allowed only four hits and one run over five innings to get the win in a 5-1 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 10. Went a season-high 5 1/3 innings with five strikeouts against Chico State on March 24. Matched a season-high five strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings against Cal State East Bay on April 7.

At Missouri State: Made 13 appearances, all in relief, for the Bears in 2023. Had 24 strikeouts in 17 innings with an earned run average of 7.94. Had seven scoreless outings during the season. Tossed four hitless innings with seven strikeouts against Central Arkansas on Feb. 24.

At Xavier: Pitched for teams that finished second in the Big East in both his seasons with the program. Appeared in 19 games with four starts as a sophomore with 25 strikeouts in 33 1/3 innings and a 6.48 earned run average. Pitched two innings with three strikeouts as a freshman.

At Hopkins High School: Earned all-conference and all-state honors as a junior, including an 18-strikeout game in the section tournament and a 15-strikeout game in league play. Also competed in hockey in high school.

Personal: Son of Steve and Jennifer Halligan. Majoring in administrative management. Enjoys sea shell collecting, golf and water sports. Lists playing in the state tournament in high school as his most exciting experience in sports.
