2024: Had another solid season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 32 games with 27 starts. Hit .213 with two home runs, 20 runs batted in and 23 runs scored. Hit his first home run of the season as part of a 2-for-4 day in a 10-1 win at Azusa Pacific on Feb. 13. Hit his second home run and drove in a career-high three runs in a 25-2 win against La Sierra on Feb. 17. Scored a career-high four runs in a 17-9 win over Chico State on March 22. Went 3-for-5 in a 10-9 win in the opener of a doubleheader against Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 9. Had six multi-hit games on the season. For his career, appeared in 58 games with 48 starts. Hit .193 with three home runs, 25 RBI and 36 runs scored in 161 at bats.

2023: Made meaningful contributions in his first year with the program. Appeared in 26 games with 21 starts. Hit .164 with one home run, five runs batted in and 13 runs scored. Made his Cal State LA debut on Feb. 2 and got the start against Providence Christian. Went 1-for-4 with one run scored. Hit a two-run home run against Cal State San Bernardino on Feb. 23. Went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI and scored the game-winning run in a 10-9 win over Colorado School of Mines on Feb. 18. Also had two hits in a 7-6 win over Sonoma State on April 14.

At Mt. San Antonio College: Earned second-team All-Conference honors after hitting .310 with four home runs in 2022.

At San Dimas High School: Earned first-team All-League honors three times and was on a team that won four league championships. Was on the school’s Honor Roll twice.

Personal: Son of Arturo and Rocio Ruiz. Majoring in business. Enjoys playing with his dogs, hanging out with friends and family and working out. Lists hitting a walk-off home run in the championship game on Father’s Day as his most exciting experiences in sports. Notes he is a huge fan of Chicken Joe.
