2024: Made big contributions to the Golden Eagles pitching staff in his first year with the program. Appeared in eight games with two starts. Compiled a 3-0 record with a 6.27 earned run average. Had nine walks and 14 strikeouts in 18 2/3 innings.

At Allan Hancock College: Earned second-team all-conference honors and was named the team’s Pitcher of the Year. Appeared in 28 games over the 2022 and 2023 seasons and had an 8-3 record with five saves. Had a 5-1 record with three saves in 2023 with a 1.36 earned run average. Had 54 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings. Had 96 strikeouts over 77 1/3 innings in 2022 and 2023.

At Cabrillo High School: Earned first-team all-league honors and was the team’s Offensive Player of the Year. Competed in baseball and basketball.

Personal: Son of Juan and Alma Lopez. Majoring in business finance and law with an option in real estate. Enjoys basketball, working out and going out with friends. Lists his last season at Hancock and throwing so many innings with a 0 ERA, getting first-team all-league honors as a senior and winning the state MVP when he was 15 as his most exciting experiences in sports.
