Cal State LA Athletics

2025: Made contributions for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in seven games with one start. Hit .100 with one hit in 10 at bats. Scored one run and drove in two. Handled all six chances in the field flawlessly and had a 1.000 fielding percentage. Made his Cal State LA debut and got an at bat at Biola on Feb. 8. Made his lone start of the season and went 1-for-5 with two RBI in an 11-5 win at Cal Poly Pomona on March 23. Had a two-run double as part of a six-run third inning.

At Pasadena City College: Earned first-team All-Conference honors and led the conference in hits as a sophomore. Hit .383 with 64 hits in 167 at bats in 2024. Hit .318 in two seasons with the Lancers with 89 hits in 280 at bats, 51 runs scored and 45 runs batted in.

At Arcadia High School: Earned first-team All-League honors.

Personal: Son of Victor Esguerra and Vivian Alger. Majoring in business/management. Enjoys Bible studies, basketball and working out. Lists hitting the game-tying base hit to win the league title on Senior Night in high school as his most exciting experience in sports.
