2024: Made four appearances on the mound in his first year with the program. Had an 0-1 record with a 6.75 earned run average. Allowed four hits and four runs with five walks and five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Made his Cal State LA debut and pitching a season-high three innings at Chaminade on Feb. 2. Didn’t allow a hit or a run over his next three appearances. Struck out two of the three batters he faced in a win over La Sierra on Feb. 17. Also tossed a scoreless inning at Cal State Monterey Bay on March 29.

At Ganesha High School: Competed in baseball and football. Team won a CIF championship.

Personal: Son of Jason and Elizabeth Gutierrez. Majoring in business. Enjoys reading and watching baseball. Lists winning a CIF championship as his most exciting experience in sports.
