Cal State LA Athletics

2026: Made contributions for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Appeared in 12 games saw time as a late-inning defensive substitute and pinch runner. Had six at bats and drove in a run and scored a run. Made his Cal State LA debut and picked up an eighth-inning RBI with a run-scoring groundout in a 16-1 win at Hawaii Pacific on Jan. 30. Entered the game as a pinch runner and scored a run at Cal State San Marcos on April 24. Recorded eight outs in the outfield and had a fielding percentage of 1.000. Earned 2025-26 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At San Jose State: Was a member of San Jose State’s Mountain West Conference championship team and spent three years with the program.

At Windward High School: Was part of a Gold Coast League championship team. Competed in baseball and basketball.

Personal: Son of Bucky Brooks and Erika Johnson-Brooks. Majoring in communications. Enjoys hiking, films, violin, sports and video. Lists a walk-off win in an Independence League Championship series with Fremont and winning a football championship with his dad as his most exciting experiences in sports. Notes he wants to become a journalist. Says he enjoys covering sports, cinematography, music and the environment.
