Biography

2025: Was a key part of Cal State LA’s starting rotation in his one year with the program. Made 13 pitching appearances with 10 starts. Had a 3-5 record with a 5.55 earned run average. Was third on the team with 61 2/3 innings pitched. Walked 27 and struck out 45. Was third on the team in strikeouts. Earned California Collegiate Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of April 28-May 4 after tossing seven strong innings in a complete game at Cal State Dominguez Hills on May 2. Gave up seven hits and just one run while walking two and striking out four in a 6-1 victory. Carried a shutout in the seventh inning. Made his Cal State LA debut and pitched three scoreless innings at Vanguard on Feb. 1. Made his first start and allowed five hits and two runs over 4 2/3 innings against Regis on Feb. 22. Picked up his first win for the Golden Eagles while tossing six strong innings at Cal Poly Pomona in an 11-5 win on March 23. Allowed only four hits and one run over six innings to pick up the win in a 7-3v victory at Cal State East Bay on April 6. Pitched a season-high 7 2/3 innings and gave up just four hits and two runs in a 3-2 win at Chico State on April 19. Had a season-high seven strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings at Stanislaus State on March 8. Earned 2024-25 CCAA All-Academic honors and 2025 CCAA Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition.

At Cal Poly Pomona: Appeared in 32 games over three seasons with the Broncos. Had a 4-5 record with a 5.21 earned run average. Pitched a total of 71 innings and had 29 walks and 51 strikeouts. Earned 2024 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At Bonita High School: Competed in baseball and football. Was a member of a Palomares League championship team in 2019. Earned All-League honors in 2019 and was named a Scholar-Athlete in 2019 and 2020.

Personal: Son of Aaron and Tiffany Moreno. Majoring in business. Enjoys going to the gym and playing golf. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys hiking with his dog and cooking. Lists pitching for the SLO Blues on 4th of July against the Santa Barbara Foresters as his most exciting experience in sports.
