Cal State LA Athletics

2018: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 11 games with six starts. Had a 1-4 record with a 6.34 earned run average. Pitched a career-high 6 1/3 innings and picked up the win against Chico State on March 29. Allowed seven hits and two earned runs while walking one and striking out six. Had a career-high seven strikeouts in a six-inning outing against Cal Poly Pomona on March 8. Gave up five hits and three runs and got a no-decision in a 5-3 victory. For his career, made 23 appearances with 11 starts. Pitched a total of 79 1/3 innings. Had a 1-6 record and a 5.56 earned run average. Walked 52 and struck out 46.

2017: Was one of the team’s main pitchers down the stretch. Appeared in 12 games with five starts. Had an 0-2 record with a 4.78 earned run average. Best outing came in a five-inning relief stint against Northwest Nazarene on Feb. 13. Allowed one hit and an unearned run while striking out two. Struck out a season-high four over four innings at Cal State Monterey Bay on March 19. Allowed only two hits and one run. Was fourth on the team in innings pitched with 43 1/3. Walked 28 and struck out 19.

2016: Was limited to one just appearance due to injury in his first year with the program.  Pitched a total of 2/3 of an inning and had to redshirt.

At Imperial Valley College: Led the team with 53 2/3 innings pitched. Had 43 strikeouts.

At Central Union High School: Competed in baseball, basketball and football.

Personal: Son of Jonathon and Marisa Adams. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys other sports. Lists playing in the 2017 CCAA Championships as his most exciting experience in sports.
