2015: Had an outstanding second season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 48 games and started 47 times. Hit .304 with 52 hits in 171 at bats. Had 10 doubles, two triples, 25 runs scored and 22 runs batted in. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Had a career-high four hits in six at bats against Cal State Monterey Bay on March 21. Went 3-for-5 with a season-high three RBI in a 6-2 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 5. Hit a bases-loaded triple in the ninth inning of the victory. Had 14 multi-hit games, including two three-hit games and one four-hit game. For his career, appeared in 68 games with 63 starts. Hit .300 with 68 hits in 227 at bats. Scored 30 runs and had 28 RBI.

2014: Played well for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Appeared in 20 games with 16 starts. Hit .286 with 16 hits in 56 at bats. Got the Opening Day start at second base and went 1-for-3 with two runs scored at California Baptist on Feb. 1. Collected a season-high in hits when he went 4-for-5 with one run scored and one RBI in a 13-5 win at Cal State San Bernardino on March 28. Hit safely in 13 games.

At East Los Angeles College: Earned All-South Coast Conference honorable mention as a sophomore in 2013 and was the team’s Most Improved Player. Hit .295 with 38 runs scored, 12 runs batted in and 10 stolen bases.

At Junipero Serra High School: Earned first-team All-League honors as a senior and was the team’s Defensive Player of the Year. Earned second-team All-League honors as a junior and was the team’s Defensive Player of the Year. Earned second-team All-League honors as a sophomore.

Personal: Son of Basilio and Elvira Martinez. Majoring in Exercise Science. Enjoys watching television, hanging out with friends, music and watching and going to Los Angeles Dodgers games.
