Cal State LA Athletics

2016: Appeared in seven games with two starts in his final year with the program. Hit .444 with four hits in nine at bats. Had one run batted in. Went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI in a 13-0 win at Cal State San Bernardino on May 7 in his final game with the program. Also went 1-for-2 with one run scored at Stanislaus State on March 12. For his career, appeared in 50 games and started 39 times. Hit .277 with 38 at bats in 137 at bats. Had 13 runs scored and 19 RBI.

2015: Had a strong first season with the Golden Eagles and appeared in 43 games with 37 starts. Hit .266 with 34 hits in 128 at bats. Scored 13 runs and had 18 RBI. Hit safely in 22 games and had multi-hit performances 11 times. Had a season-high with a 3-for-3 outing at Cal State San Bernardino on April 24. Had a double and drove in a pair of runs. Drove in two runs in a game six times.

At Cal State Northridge: Appeared in 96 games for the Matadors in his two years with the program. Appeared in 45 games with 41 starts in 2014, mostly at third base. Hit .229 with 33 hits in 144 at bats. Had a season-high three hits in two games and turned in a pair of multi-RBI games as well. Hit .254 as a freshman in 2013. Worked his way into the starting lineup at third base by the end of the season. Appeared in 51 games with 39 starts. Had a season-high three hits at UC Davis and drove in two runs in three separate games.

At Servite High School: Earned All-Trinity League honorable mention as a junior and played third base and shortstop. Earned Scholar-Athlete honors. Attended Aliso Niguel High School for his freshman and sophomore years and helped the Wolverines to a South Coast League championship in 2010.

Personal: Son of Saul and Jill Osuna. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys the video games and the beach. Lists becoming a starter as a freshman in high school and college as his most exciting experiences in sports.
