Cal State LA Athletics

2016: Was a key part of the starting rotation in his second and final season with the program. Appeared in 12 games and started 11 times. Went 2-4 with a 4.27 earned run average. Pitched a total of 71 2/3 innings. Had 33 walks and 47 strikeouts. Led the team in innings pitched and shared the team lead in strikeouts. Tossed eight shutout innings in an 8-0 win over Cal State San Marcos on Feb. 28. Allowed seven hits, did not walk a batter and struck out six. Allowed five hits and only two earned runs over eight innings in a 5-3 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills on April 29. Allowed two or fewer earned runs in six of his 11 starts. For his career, appeared in 17 games and started 16 times. Went 2-4 with a 4.24 earned run average. Pitched a total of 76 1/3 innings. Had 38 walks and 54 strikeouts.

2015: Came on late in the season for the Golden Eagles and made five relief appearances. Had a 0-0 record with a 3.86 earned run average. Had his best outing against Chico State, tossing two scoreless innings with four strikeouts on April 2. Also pitched a scoreless inning against Cal State San Bernardino on April 23. Struck out seven over 4 2/3 innings for the season.

At Golden West College: Shared the team lead with 11 starts and was second on the team in innings pitched with 68 2/3. Compiled a 3-7 record with a 3.28 earned run average. Appeared in eight games as a freshman in relief and pitched a total of 6 2/3 innings.

At Cypress High School: Competed in baseball, soccer and football.

Personal: Son of Mitch Moore and Debbie Lee. Majoring in business management. Enjoys long walks on a white sandy beach and motorcycle riding. Lists throwing a no-hitter at Golden West College against Cypress College as his most exciting experience in sports.
