Cal State LA Athletics

2016: Was a big part of the pitching staff for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in nine games and started once. Went 0-1 with a 7.84 earned run average. Pitched a total of 10 1/3 innings with seven walks and seven strikeouts. Did not allow an earned run in six of his nine appearances. Made his lone start and went 2 1/3 innings against Cal Poly Pomona on April 21. Pitched two or more innings three times.

At Los Angeles Valley College: Had a 0-2 record with one save and a 3.86 earned run average as a sophomore in 2015. Appeared in 11 games with five starts and pitched a total of 32 1/3 innings. Was 1-4 with three saves and a 4.27 earned run average as a freshman. Threw a total of 52 2/3 innings and led the team with 40 strikeouts.

At Verdugo Hills High School: Competed in baseball in high school.

Personal: Son of Manuel and Patricia Farias. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys dirt bike riding.
