2014: Made contributions for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 23 games  with three starts. Hit .182 with four hits in 22 at bats. Scored seven runs and had one run batted in. Went 1-for-2 with a run scored against Cal State Monterey Bay on Feb. 21. Went 1-for-1 with a run scored and an RBI in a 12-11 win at Cal State Monterey Bay on Feb. 22. Entered the game as a pinch runner in the eighth inning, then delivered a run-scoring single to spark a three-run ninth-inning rally. Stole second and eventually scored a run to push the Golden Eagles ahead, 12-9. Went 1-for-2 in a 6-3 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on May 3.

2013: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles.

At West Valley College: Earned second-team All-Coast Conference-Golden Gate Division honors. Hit .282 as a sophomore with 31 hits in 110 at bats. Hit .267 as a freshman in 2011 with 28 hits in 105 at bats. Scored 35 runs and drove in 25 in his two seasons with the program.

At Archbishop Mitty High School: Competed in baseball and volleyball.

Personal: Son of Steve and Lisa Fontana. Majoring in business.
