2014: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 22 games and started 13 times. Hit .294 with 15 hits in 51 at bats. Had two doubles, nine runs scored and four runs batted in. Went 3-for-4 with two RBI in a win over Cal State Stanislaus in his first start of the season on March 3. Went 3-for-4 with a double, one run scored and one RBI in a 6-3 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on May 3. Scored the go-ahead run in the seventh inning. Had three multi-hit games. For his career, appeared in 30 games with 14 starts. Hit .288 with 17 hits in 59 at bats. Had three doubles, nine runs scored and one RBI.

2013: Made meaningful contributions in his first season with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in eight games with one start. Hit .250 with two hits in eight at bats. Went 1-for-3 with a double and RBI against Dixie State on Feb. 9. Also collected a hit against Cal State San Bernardino on March 28. Appeared in two games at the CCAA Championship Tournament and had two putouts against Sonoma State on May 11.

At L.A. Pierce College: Was a Barry Zito Scholarship recipient. Hit .250 with 40 hits in 160 at bats in 2012 and hit .277 with 44 hits in 159 at bats in 2011. Earned second-team All-Western State-South Conference honors.

At Kennedy High School: Was a scholar-athlete and the team’s Most Valuable Player. Earned All-City and All-League honors and led the team in hitting.

Personal: Son of Arnulfo and Raquel Sanchez. Majoring in business. Enjoys hockey, boat racing, basketball and watching silent movies. Lists winning the CCAA Championship Tournament as his most exciting experience in sports.
