Biography

2010: Made a big impact for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Hit .319 with five home runs, 28 RBI and 23 runs scored. Was fourth on the team in batting average, third in runs batted in and second in home runs. Drove in four runs in three games. Was 3-for-4 with four RBI against Cal State San Bernardino on Feb. 28, 2-for-2 with four RBI at Cal State Monterey Bay on March 14 and 3-for-4 with four RBI against Cal State San Marcos on March 20. Had 12 multi-hit games and finished the season with a six-game hitting streak.
 
At Capistrano Valley High School: Earned second-team All-South Coast League honors. Hit .293 in 32 games as a senior. Team won the CIF Division I championship in 2009.
 
Personal: Son of Ed and Wendy Castro. Majoring in business management. Enjoys the beach and barbeques. Lists winning the CIF Championship at Anaheim Stadium as his most exciting experience in sports.
