2011: Contributed for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Made three relief appearances and had an 0-1 record with a 7.71 earned run average. Didn't walk a batter and had five strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings pitched. Had his best outing in his final appearance, tossing one scoreless inning with one strikeout against Grand Canyon on Feb. 13. Had two strikeouts in each of his first two appearances of the season against Cal Poly Pomona on Feb. 5 and California Baptist on Feb. 8. For his career, made 16 appearances with three starts. Was 0-6 with a 6.13 earned run average. Had 33 walks and 28 strikeouts in 39 2/3 innings pitched.

2010: Was a big part of the Golden Eagle pitching staff and wound up third on the team with 16 appearances. Started three times and worked in relief 13 times. Was 0-5 with a 6.94 earned run average. Had a strong debut for the Golden Eagles, blanking Cal State Dominguez Hills on just two hits over 5 1/3 innings on Feb. 13. Walked four and had a season-high five strikeouts. Made his first start a successful one, going five solid innings against Cal State Stanislaus on Feb. 21. Allowed only four hits and one earned run in a come-from-behind 10-4 victory. Tossed three scoreless innings of relief against Cal State San Marcos on March 20 and did not allow a hit. Enjoyed his best stretch from March 5 to April 3 when he allowed only nine hits and two earned runs over 15 2/3 innings covering a span of seven relief appearances. Struck out 11 during that span and lowered his ERA from 7.82 to 4.18.

At Pierce Junior College: Earned second-team All-Conference honors in 2008 as a freshman. Went 3-2 with a 4.83 earned run average. Compiled a 2-2 record and struck out 22 batters in 21 innings as a sophomore.

At Palisades High School: Was an All-City pitcher in 2007 and an All-City designated hitter in 2007. Was on the school’s Dean’s List and Principal’s Honor Roll.

Personal: Son of Mike and Kathleen Bromberg. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys working out, poker and going to the beach. Lists hitting two home runs and throwing a no-hitter against University High School as his most exciting experience in sports. Has an older brother, David, in Triple-A for the Minnesota Twins’ organization.
