Cal State LA Athletics

2011: Returned for his final season with the program and had an outstanding year. Appeared in 45 games and started 41 times. Hit .356 with 48 hits in 135 at bats. Had four home runs, 14 doubles, one triple, 26 runs scored and 27 RBI. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Had a career-high five hits in five at bats in a 14-13 win over Cal State East Bay on March 5. Had a pair of doubles and drove in a career-high four runs. Hit a pinch-hit, three-run home run to cap a five-run, ninth-inning rally in a 10-6 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on April 23. Went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, one RBI and three runs scored in a  10-1 win over San Francisco State on Feb. 20 and went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a career-high four runs scored in an 11-4 victory over San Francisco State on Feb. 19. Went 3-for-3 with a run scored and one RBI against Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 26. Went 1-for-4 with three RBI against Grand Canyon on Feb. 13. For his career, appeared in 71 games and started 55 times. Hit .287 with 54 hits in 188 at bats. Had six home runs, 15 doubles, 33 runs scored and 32 RBI. Also pitched one scoreless inning and had a 0-0 record with a 0.00 earned run average.

2008: Appeared in 26 games and started 14 times for the Golden Eagles. Hit .113 with six hits in 53 at bats. Two of his hits were home runs. Drove in five runs and scored seven. Had two hits and scored twice in game against Cal Poly Pomona on Feb. 2. Hit his first home run, a solo shot, against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 7. Hit a three-run home run in his last at bat of the season at San Francisco State on May 3. Also made one appearance on the mound, tossing a scoreless inning against Sonoma State on April 5.

At Bakersfield JC: Hit .310 with eight home runs and 34 runs batted in. Earned first-team All-Conference honors as a sophomore and received a student-athlete award. Was also a scholar-athlete.

At Garces High School: Competed in baseball, football and basketball. Earned All-Area honors as a junior and senior and All-League honors as well.

Personal: Son of Manuel and Maria Flores. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys playing baseball, working and hunting. Lists hitting back-to-back-to-back home runs in high school and hitting a walkoff home run in a playoff game as his most exciting experiences in sports.
