2011: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Appeared in 18 games and started 10 times. Played a total of 886 minutes. Had one assist for one point. Got his assist on a goal by Aurelio Sanchez in a 6-0 win over Saint Martin's on Sept. 1. For his career, appeared in 28 games and started 17 times. Played a total of 1,347 minutes. Had three assists for three points.

2010: Made meaningful contributions in his first season with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 10 games and started seven times. Played a total of 461 minutes. Had two assists. Recorded an assist on Julian Ringhof’s goal in a 3-0 win over UC San Diego on Sept. 10. Added an assist on a goal by Taylor Rivas in a 3-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 19. Helped a defense that recorded seven shutouts during the season.

At Taft College: Earned first-team All-Conference honors in 2007 and 2008 and was a team captain in 2008. Team won a state championship in 2007 and was ranked second in the nation. Helped team win conference championships in 2007 and 2008.

At Palmdale High School: Was named the team’s Most Valuable Player and team captain as a senior. Earned first-team All-Golden League honors three times and received second-team All-CIF honors as a senior. Was named the team’s best defensive player three times.

Personal: Son of Salvador and Elva Lopez. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys soccer, music, hanging out with friends and playing video games. Lists winning the state championship with Taft as his most exciting experience in sports.
