2011: Returned from injury and had a tremendous season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Started all 23 games for the Golden Eagles and played a total of 1,453 minutes. Led the team in scoring with 13 goals and eight points for 34 points. The 13 goals are tied for No. 7 all-time and the 34 points are tied for No. 6 all-time on the program's single-season list. Earned second-team All-West Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Daktronics. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association second-team honors and was the CCAA Tournament's Most Valuable Offensive Player. Scored the team's first two goals in a 3-2 win over Seattle Pacific in the West Region championship game on Nov. 12. Scored in the 67th minute to start a late Cal State LA comeback in a 2-2 tie against Chico State in a first-round NCAA playoff game on Nov. 10. Had a goal and an assist in wins against Cal State Stanislaus and Chico State in the CCAA Tournament. Had two goals in a 2-2 tie at Chico State on Sept. 18 and had two goals in a 3-0 win at San Francisco State on Oct. 2. Had points in 18 of the team's 23 games. For his career, appeared in 78 games with 69 starts. Played a total of 4,565 minutes. Had 29 goals, 22 assists and 80 points. Finished his career No. 6 all-time in goals and No. 5 all-time in points.
2010: Was not with the program because of injury.

2009: Had another outstanding season for the Golden Eagles and earned All-CCAA honorable mention for a second time. Was third on the team with six goals and four assists for 16 points. Appeared in 17 games and started 13 times. Had both goals in a 2-1 win over Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 11 and had the game-winning goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 13. Received CCAA Player of the Week honors for the week of Sept. 7-13 for his performance. Also recorded the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 4 and had the lone goal in a 1-0 win at UC San Diego on Oct. 30.

2008: Missed the entire season because of injury and was a medical redshirt.

2007: Had an outstanding second season for Cal State L.A. and earned All-CCAA honorable mention. Finished third on the team in scoring despite missing the final three games of the season because of injury. Was third on the team in goals scored with seven and points with 15. Scored a pair of goals, including the equalizer and game-winner, in a 3-2 win over Humboldt State on Sept. 9. Also contributed a pair of goals in a 4-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 14. Notched the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 16 and got the game-winner in a 2-1 win over San Francisco State on Oct. 26. Also had a goal in the season opener against Saint Martin’s on Aug. 23.

2006: Had an impressive debut for the Golden Eagles. Was named the team’s Freshman of the Year. Appeared in 22 games and started 20 times. Had three goals and nine assists for a total of 15 points. Was second on the team in assists and fourth in points. Picked up an assist in his first game as a Golden Eagle in a 4-0 win over Notre Dame de Namur on Aug. 28. Scored his first goal for Cal State L.A. in a 4-0 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 17. Also had a goal in a 3-2 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 21 and scored his final goal of the season – the game-winner – in a 2-1 victory over Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 22.
At Santana High School: Earned the San Diego Union Tribune’s Scholar-Athlete Award three times. Earned first-team All-CIF honors once, first-team All-League honors twice and was the team’s Offensive Player of the Year three times. Competed in soccer and track and field.
Personal: Son of John and Michelle Swope. Majoring in economics and business management. Enjoys snowboarding, cooking and weight lifting. Lists making it to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Division II playoffs in 2006 as his most exciting experience in sports.
