Cal State LA Athletics

2025: Was on Cal State LA’s roster, but did not compete in any meets for the Golden Eagles.

2024: Had a strong season in his first year with the program. Had best marks of 23.06 in the 200 and 50.01 in the 400. Finished 15^th in the 400 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships.

At Santa Monica Junior College: Reached the Southern California prelims as a freshman in the 200 meters and 400 and went to the Southern California finals as a sophomore in the 4x400 relay. Had best marks of 23.77 in the 200 and 51.25 in the 400. Relay team finished eighth in the Southern California Championships.

At Canyon Crest Academy: Competed primarily in basketball and almost played for a junior college in San Diego before switching to track and field.

Personal: Son of Thomas and Bethsaida Schafer. Majoring in business administration-marketing. Enjoys film photography. Lists competing in the Southern California Championships with his 4x400 teammates and competing in the Mt. SAC Relays as his most exciting experiences in sports. Says he was born in Barrington, Illinois, and moved to San Diego as a kid.
