Cal State LA Athletics

2023: Competed well once again for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Had a best mark of 10.99 in the 100. Finished 10^th in the 100 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. For his career, had a best mark of 10.89 in the 100 and was part of a CCAA championship 4x100 relay team.

2022: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles and was one of the team’s top sprinters. Had a best mark of 10.89 in the 100 meters. Won a California Collegiate Athletic Association championship as a member of Cal State LA’s 4x100 relay team. Finished eighth in the CCAA in the 100.

2021: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2020: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any meets for the Golden Eagles before the season was halted.

2019: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles as a freshman. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors as part of the 4x100 relay team that placed second in the conference meet. Also earned All-West Region honors as part of the relay team. Had best times of 10.71 in the 100 meters and 22.06 in the 200.

At Junipero Serra High School: Competed in basketball and track and field. Earned a Coach’s Award after transferring to Carson High School as a senior. Ran in multiple events at the state track meet. Had a best time of 10.6 in the 100. Won several individual athletic awards and a few team awards from the state and city. Also earned academic awards, including the NSHSS Award, and several different athletic medals.

Personal: Son of Anthony and Genevieve Richardson. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys running, drawing and playing video games. Lists competing at the state meet in high school as his most exciting experience in sports.
