Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Earned second-team All-America honors as part of Cal State LA’s 4x400 relay team that finished ninth in the nation. Earned a second California Collegiate Athletic Association championship as part of the 4x400 relay team and received All-CCAA honors in the 800 meters for a second straight season after finishing second in the conference meet. Earned All-West Region honors in the 4x400 relay. Had best marks of 48.22 in the 400 and 1:51.74 in the 800. For his career, had best marks of 48.06 in the 400 and 1:48.53 in the 800. Finished his career No. 2 on Cal State LA’s all-time list in the 800. Earned one second-team All-America awards, two conference championships, four All-Conference honors and three All-West Region awards.

2023: Had an outstanding first season for the Golden Eagles’ track and field team in the spring. Had best times of 48.06 in the 400 meters and 1:48.53 in the 800. Earned a California Collegiate Athletic Association championship as part of Cal State LA’s 4x400 relay team. Also earned All-CCAA honors after finishing third in the 800. Competed in the NCAA Division II championships in the 800 and finished 13^th in the nation. Earned All-West Region honors in the 800 and 4x400 relay. Best time in the 800 is No. 2 all-time at Cal State LA. Was on Cal State LA’s roster in the fall, but did not compete in any meets.

2022: Was on Cal State LA’s cross country roster in the fall, but did not compete in any meets.

At Glendale College: Earned All-America honors after finishing fourth in the state in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.06.

At Eagle Rock High School: Was a state finalist and an LA City Section champion.

Personal: Son of Isaac and Ivonne Turner. Majoring in art. Enjoys music. Says his most exciting experience in sports hasn’t happened yet.
