Summary

Biography

2007: Had a second solid season with the Golden Eagles as a sophomore. Appeared in all 21 games and started two as a midfielder. Had two assists on the season. Had an assist in the second game of the season against Cal State San Marcos on Aug. 29 and had the other against Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 14.
 
2006: Had an outstanding start to his Cal State L.A. career. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Appeared in and started 20 games for the Golden Eagles. Had three goals and five assists for a total of 11 points. Scored a goal in his first game at Cal State L.A., a 4-4 tie with Notre Dame de Namur on Aug. 28. Had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 17. Scored his third goal of the year in a 2-1 victory over Chico State on Oct. 8.
 
At Birmingham High School: Competed in soccer, football and track and field. Was the team’s Freshman of the Year and later earned a team Player of the Year award. Team won a CIF city championship in his senior season.
 
Personal: Son of Israel Sandoval and Blanca Menendez. Majoring in business. Lists winning a gold medal in the AAU Junior Olympics as his most exciting experience in sports.
