2010: Made a big impact with the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Started the first eight games of the season in goal. Played a total of 720 minutes. Allowed eight goals and had a goals against average of 1.00. Made 16 saves and had a saves percentage of .667. Had a 5-3 record with five shutouts. Made his Cal State L.A. debut and got his first start in a 1-0 win over Biola on Sept. 2. Made a season-high four saves for the shutout. Recorded shutouts in his first five starts, including a 3-0 win at UC San Diego on Sept. 10, a 2-0 win at Csl State East Bay on Sept. 12, a 1-0 win against San Francisco State on Sept. 17 and a 3-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 19.

At Knox Grammar School: Earned first-team All-League honors as a goalkeeper in 2008 and 2009. Was captain of the soccer team in 2009 and received an award for most contribution to the school in soccer in 2009.

Personal: Son of John and Janiece Irwin. Is an undeclared major. Enjoys golf, surfing and barbeques with his family. Lists being part of a winning team at Knox Grammar School that was the N.S.W. state champions in 2009 as his most exciting experience in sports. Was also part of the U-18 state super league championship team in 2008.
