Cal State LA Athletics

2010: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles and completed his two-year career with the program. Appeared in 10 games with seven starts. Played a total of 444 minutes. Made his first start of the season and played 44 minutes at Cal State Stanislaus on Oct. 1. Started and played a season-high 70 minutes at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 29. For his career, appeared in 28 games and started 16 times. Played a total of 1,111 minutes. Had a total of one goal and two assists for four points.

2009: Had an outstanding first season for the Golden Eagles and worked his way into the starting lineup by the middle of the season. Appeared in 18 games and started the final nine games of the season. Played a total of 667 minutes. Made his first start for Cal State L.A. a very productive one, scoring one goal and adding two assists in a 4-0 win over Cal State East Bay on Oct. 16. Assisted on the first goal of the game by Mauricio Barrett just seven minutes into the contest. Scored his lone goal of the season in the 25^th minute with an assist from Federico Cino to make it 2-0. Got an assist on a goal by Spencer Tripp in the 85^th minute that completed the scoring. Had a season-high five shots against Seattle Pacific on Oct. 21 and had four shots in NCAA playoff game against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 15.

At Taft College: Earned first-team All-Conference honors in 2008 and team won a state championship in 2007.

At Lancaster High School: Earned first-team All-Golden Valley League honors from 2005-07 and received second-team All-CIF honors as a junior. Was the team Most Valuable Player as a junior and the Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore and senior. Was named the team’s Rookie of the Year as a freshman.

Personal: Son of Hector and Esther Macias. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys watching soccer, running, Xbox, watching movies and hanging out with friends. Lists winning the state championship at Taft College in 2007 as his most exciting experience in sports.
