Biography

At Hilltop High School: Was a four-year starter on varsity and a senior captain. Was named the Rookie of the Year as a freshman and picked up the Iron-man Award as a sophomore. Earned first-team All-League honors three times. Competed in soccer, swimming and diving and cross country.
 
Personal: Son of Victor and Christine Vargas. Is an undeclared major. Enjoys the beach, skating, playing and writing music and skateboarding. Lists being part of a Surf Cup champion, a U.S. Club Regionals National Championship finalist and playing in the CIF playoffs as a freshman as his most exciting experiences in sports. Played for the San Diego Surf Academy U-18 team.
