Biography

2009: Had a sensational second season with the Golden Eagles and completed a tremendous two-year career with the program. Appeared and started in all 23 games. Played a total of 2,019 minutes and led the team in minutes played. Had four assists for four points. Earned first-team All-America honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Also earned first-team All-West Region honors from the NSCAA and Daktronics. Earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Had an assist on Federico Cino's overtime game-winning goal of a 2-1 win over Montana State-Billings on Sept. 2. Had an assist on the game-winning goal by Kristian Gaustad in a 2-1 victory over Chico State on Sept. 25 and had an assist on a goal by Federico Cino in a 2-0 win over Stanislaus State on Sept. 27. Picked up his final assist on a goal by Derrek Horn in a 1-0 win over UC San Diego on Oct. 18. All four assists came on game-winning goals. For his career, appeared in 45 games and started all 45. Played a total of 3,884 minutes. Had one goal and six assists for eight points.

2008: Had a tremendous first season with the Golden Eagles. Earned second-team NSCAA and Daktronics All-West Region honors. Was named the team’s Newcomer of the Year. Started all 22 games for Cal State L.A. and helped lead one of the nation’s top defenses. Was instrumental in a defense that allowed only 19 goals all season and posted nine shutouts. Got his Golden Eagle career off to a sensational start. Had an assist and then scored the game-winning goal in overtime of a 2-1 season-opening victory at Cal State San Marcos on Aug. 29. Also picked up an assist against Cal State Stanislaus on Oct. 5.
 
At Santa Rosa Junior College: Earned first-team All-America honors and was the Big 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Team finished second in the state.
At Sonoma Valley High School: Competed in soccer, golf and baseball.
Personal: Son of Mike and Carolyn Daly. Majoring in business management. Enjoys hanging out with friends, watching ESPN and riding bikes. Lists winning the 2009 National Premier Soccer League national championship with the Sonoma County Sol as his most exciting experience in sports.
