Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Was on the roster for Cal State LA’s track and field team in the spring, but did not compete in any meets. Competed for the first time with Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Was one of five runners to compete in all six races for the Golden Eagles. Had a best 5,000-meter time of 26:53.2 at the Biola Invitational. Finished 63^rd at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 27:22.9 over 5,000 meters. Finished 139^th at the NCAA West Regional with a 10,000-meter time of 34:58.80.

At Felicitas & Gonzalo Mendez High School: Took sixth place in league finals as a freshman and earned a Student-Athlete Award. As a junior, was on a baseball team that won a Division 3 title and a cross country team that finished second in LA City. Was 13^th as an individual and earned MVP honors for his team. As a senior, was the LA City champion as an individual and led school to the team title. Earned team MVP for cross country for a second time. Took third in the mile in league finals and third for the two-mile. Competed in cross country, track and field and baseball.

Personal: Son of Alberto and Silvia Morales. Majoring in chemistry. Enjoys games and running. Lists winning CIF titles in both baseball and cross country as his most exciting experiences in sports.
