2008: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 16 games and started 12 times. Played a total of 449 minutes. Had one goal and one assist for three points. Scored the go-ahead goal in a 2-0 win at Humboldt State on Sept. 26. Picked up an assist on the game-winning goal by Bryce Beall in the 64th minute of a 1-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 21. Made his first start for the Golden Eagles and and played a career-high 51 minutes in a 1-0 win at Vanguard on Sept. 5. For his career, appeared in 22 games and started 16 times. Played a total of 602 minutes. Had one goal and one assist for three points.

2007: Made an immediate contribution for the Golden Eagles as a freshman and appeared in six games. Played a total of 153 minutes. Made his Cal State L.A. debut and played a season-high 46 minutes in a 3-2 win over Humboldt State on Sept. 9. Also saw minutes against Seattle Pacific on Sept. 11, Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 14 at Chico State on Sept. 30, against Grand Canyon on Oct. 7 and at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 29.

At Granite Hills HS: Earned All-CIF and All-League honors in soccer, cross country and track and field. Was the Runner of the Year in cross country and track and field. Played on a soccer team that won two CIF championships and was on a cross country team that finished fourth in CIF and was a state qualifier.

Personal: Son of Manny and Trudy Sandoval. Majoring in business management. Lists winning the State Cup in 2002 and being ranked among the top three teams in California as his most exciting experience in sports.
