LOS ANGELES – Cal State LA had 36 student-athletes from its five fall sports in the California Collegiate Athletic Association named to the 2024 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday. The Golden Eagles' total continues a solid stretch of gains over the past eight years for Cal State LA.
This past fall, 475 male and female student-athletes from the CCAA's 12 institutions earned an academic honor roll recognition with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3. Cal State LA's
Haley Roundtree, currently completing her MBA after a tremendous volleyball career that included a 2023 national championship, was cited by the conference for being honored for a fifth time.
The seasonal awards were instituted in 2014 and the Fall Academic Honor Roll was previously named the Fall All-Academic Team until 2020.
Honor Roll distinction is given to student-athletes who are at least a sophomore in academic standing with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 and above.
The fall sports honored this week were men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball. Women's soccer led the way for Cal State LA with 12 recipients, while men's soccer was next with 10. Volleyball had six and the men's and women's cross country teams combined for eight.
The CCAA recognizes individuals academically each season – fall, winter and spring – for all CCAA-sponsored sports. The conference will announce Honor Roll teams after the conclusion of the winter and spring seasons and also has full-year CCAA All-Academic Awards that are announced in June.
