2017: Had a second strong season in his final year with the program. Appeared in 15 games. Played a total of 449 minutes. Played a season-high 81 minutes in a 1-1 tie at Cal State East Bay on Oct. 8. Earned a California Collegiate Athletic Association Fall All-Academic Award. For his career, appeared in 34 games with 19 starts. Played a total of 2,211 minutes.

2016: Played a key role on defense for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Started all 19 games and led the team in minutes played with 1,762. Picked up an assist on a goal by Tim Klefisch in a 3-0 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 24. Made his first career start and played all 90 minutes in a 6-2 win over Saint Martin's on Sept. 1. 

At Allan Hancock Junior College: Earned first-team and second-team All-Conference honors and was a team Most Valuable Player twice. Was the team’s top goal scorer in 2014 and 2015.

At Cabrillo High School: Earned second-team All-League honors and was a team Most Valuable Player and Offensive Most Valuable Player.

Personal: Son of Fidencio and Evangelina Diaz. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys playing FIFA and playing guitar. Lists winning the State Cup with his club team in 2010 as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he is from San Martin Hidalgo, Jalisco, Mexico.
