Cal State LA Athletics

2017: Appeared in two games for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Played a total of 49 minutes. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 31 minutes in a 1-0 win over San Francisco State on Oct. 15. Also played 18 minutes against Sonoma State on Oct. 20. Earned a California Collegiate Athletic Association Fall All-Academic Award.

At Houston Baptist University: Played in 24 games and started 10 times in his seasons with the NCAA Division I program. Had one goal and one assist for three points as a sophomore. Was on the Dean’s List and made the Western Athletic Conference’s All-Academic team.

At Colegio Interamericano: Represented Guatemala as a member of the U17 and U20 Youth National Teams. Four-year letterwinner. Earned a spot on the school’s honor roll and was a two-time AASCA All-Star.

Personal: Son of Roberto Vega and Maria Elena Bustamante. Majoring in business management. Enjoys traveling and attending sporting events. Lists playing and training with the National U17 and U20 teams as his most exciting experiences in sports.
