2026: Made four appearances on the mound for the Golden Eagles in his second and final season with the program. Had a 0-0 record with a 4.91 earned run average. Walked four and struck out three in 3 2/3 innings. Made his season debut and pitched 1/3 of an inning without allowing a run against Northwest Nazarene on Feb. 5. Recorded an out against Cal State Dominguez Hills with one walk on Feb. 15. Walked the only batter he faced against Chico State on March 28. Pitched a career-high three innings and allowed five hits and two runs with a career-high three strikeouts against Cal Poly Pomona on April 18. Earned a 2025-26 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement award, 2025-26 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors and 2026 CCAA Spring Honor Roll recognition. For his career, appeared in five games and pitched a total of 4 1/3 innings. Had a 0-0 record with a 10.38 earned run average with seven walks and three strikeouts.

2025: Made one appearance on the mound for the Golden Eagles in his first season with the program. Made his Cal State LA debut and tossed 2/3 inning at Biola on Feb. 8.

At Pasadena City College: Hit .297 with 22 hits in 74 at bats in 2023. Had six home runs, 18 runs batted in and 13 runs scored. Also appeared in seven games as a pitcher with two starts. Was 1-1 with a 5.40 earned run average. Recorded 10 strikeouts in 11 2/3 innings.

At Southwestern Academy: Competed in baseball, basketball, volleyball and soccer. Was the school’s Student-Athlete of the Year and Student of the Year. Earned first-team All-League honors in 2020-21 and was team Most Valuable Player in 2018-19.

Personal: Son of Fernando Garcia and Violeta Carrete. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys hiking and going to the beach. Lists all the time he gets to experience the sport he loves with awesome people as his most exciting experience in sports.
