Cal State LA Athletics

2026: Made contributions for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Appeared in seven games with two starts. Hit .100 with one hit in 10 at bats. Made his Cal State LA debut and went 0-for-1 at Hawaii Pacific. Made his first start for the Golden Eagles and went 0-for-2 in a 9-3 win at Chaminade on Feb. 1. Got his second start and picked up a second-inning single in an 8-7 win over Westcliff on Feb. 28. Earned 2025-26 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At Waldorf University: Hit .310 in 47 games played with 10 home runs, 36 runs batted in and 27 runs scored. Earned All-Conference honorable mention.

At University of Redlands: Hit .231 with three hits in 13 at bats for the Bulldogs as a freshman in 2024.

At Norco High School: Graduated with Honors with Distinction in 2023. Was on the high honor roll from 2020-23. Earned first-team All-League honors as a freshman at La Sierra High School.

Personal: Son of Joey and Jenny Romero. Majoring in biology. Enjoys video games and pottery. Lists winning league in high school as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he’s really into punk runk music and that his dad showed him a lot of the songs he enjoys now.
