Cal State LA Athletics

2026: Was a big part of the Golden Eagles’ pitching staff in his first year of competition with the program. Made nine appearances, including three starts, and pitched a total of 28 2/3 innings. Had a 1-2 record and one save with a 7.85 earned run average. Recorded 13 strikeouts and 10 walks. Made his Cal State LA debut and got the win in a 9-3 win at Chaminade on Feb. 1. Allowed four hits and two unearned run over five strong innings with two walks and two strikeouts. Worked a scoreless inning with two strikeouts and picked up a save in a 4-2 win over Chico State on March 28. Pitched 4 1/3 effective innings of relief at Cal State San Bernardino on March 21. Allowed five hits and only one run with no walks and a season-high three strikeouts. Earned 2025-26 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

2025: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program.

At Highland High School: Was the team’s Pitcher of the Year in 2023 and 2024. Earned first-team All-Golden League honors in 2024 and second-team honors in 2023. Was on the school’s Honor Roll four times.

Personal: Son of Isaac and Leada Badillo. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys hiking, trying new foods and being outside. Lists throwing 90 miles per hour for the first time as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes his favorite fast food place is McDonald’s and his favorite food is sandwiches.
