Cal State LA Athletics

At Cerritos College: Was a member of two CCCAA State Championship teams in 2016 and 2017. Finished eighth in the state in the triple jump with a mark of 11.55 meters and ninth in the long jump at 5.54 meters. Also ran the first leg for the Falcons’ state champion 4x100 relay team. As a freshman, finished second in the heptathlon at the Southern California Championships with 5,031 points. Was one of five junior college athletes in 20 years to score more than 5,000 points in the event.
At Valencia High School: Was a four-time MVP on varsity and a state qualifier in 2015. Captured multiple Orange County championships and was the first athlete in 10 years to produce a long jump longer than 18-6 with an effort of 18-10. Finished second in the CIF Masters Meet and qualified for the state championships. Also played volleyball at the school for two years.

Personal: Daughter of Wendy McGinnis. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys pottery, rock climbing and cycling. Lists reading a time capsule letter she had written as a freshman in high school to her self stating how she hoped to make it to state by the time she finished his high school as her most exciting experience in sports.
