Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Was one of the team’s most improved players in his final year with the program. Appeared in 15 games with four starts. Played a total of 286 minutes. Had one goal and two assists for four points. Made his season debut and got his first start in a 2-0 win at Fresno Pacific on Sept. 5. Scored his first career goal in a 4-1 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in an NCAA Tournament game on Nov. 24 in University Stadium. Had an assist on a goal by Marlon Radel in a 3-3 tie against Cal State East Bay on Oct. 25 and got an assist on a goal by Hunter Devlin in a 3-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament first-round game on Nov. 10. Played a career-high 34 minutes and earned a start in a 2-1 win at San Francisco State on Nov. 1. For his career, appeared in 21 games with four starts. Played a total of 330 minutes. Had one goal and two assists for four points.

2023: Made contributions for the Golden Eagles in his first year of competition and second year with the program. Appeared in six games and played a total of 44 minutes. Made his Cal State LA debut and played the final minute of the first half in a 1-0 win over Regis on Aug. 31. Played a season-high 17 minutes in a 2-0 win over Azusa Pacific on Sept. 12. Also played 14 minutes against Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 1.

2022: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles.

At Baker Web Academy: Competed in soccer and football. Received a student-athlete award. Team made a CIF run.

Personal: Son of James and Denise Solek. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys hiking, traveling, and video games. Lists getting called up to training with pro soccer team Portland Timbers and scoring the game-winning goal in an MLS Next Showcase as his most exciting experiences in sports. Notes he is of Mexican-Brazilian ethnicity.
