Summary

Biography

2006: Had an impressive debut for the Golden Eagles. Was named the team’s Freshman of the Year. Appeared in 22 games and started 20 times. Had three goals and nine assists for a total of 15 points. Was second on the team in assists and fourth in points. Picked up an assist in his first game as a Golden Eagle in a 4-0 win over Notre Dame de Namur on Aug. 28. Scored his first goal for Cal State L.A. in a 4-0 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 17. Also had a goal in a 3-2 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 21 and scored his final goal of the season – the game-winner – in a 2-1 victory over Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 22.
 
At Santana High School: Earned the San Diego Union Tribune’s Scholar-Athlete Award three times. Earned first-team All-CIF honors once, first-team All-League honors twice and was the team’s Offensive Player of the Year three times.
 
Personal: Son of John and Michelle Swope. Is an undeclared major. Enjoys surfing, skating and snowboarding. Lists making it to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Division II playoffs last season as his most exciting experience in sports.
