Biography

At University of Akron: Appeared in 18 games as a freshman in 2005 and recorded one goal and five assists for seven points. First career goal came in a 12-2 win over Cleveland State on Sept. 9, 2005. Assisted on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Loyola College on Sept. 17. Team won the Mid-American Conference championship and was the Westfield Cup Champion.
 
In Bergen, Norway: Attended Danielsen VGS. Competed for U-19 team that won a national championship in 2002.
 
Personal: Son of Bjorn and Allison Gaustad. Majoring in international business. Enjoys fishing, reading, swimming and movies. Lists winning the national championship in Norway in 2002 as his most exciting experience in sports.
