Cal State LA Athletics

2011: Had another strong season in her second and final year with the program. Appeared in 21 games and started once. Played a total of 682 minutes. Made her lone start of the season and played all 110 minutes in a 0-0 tie against Chico State in the NCAA West Region championship game on Nov. 18. For her career, appeared in 41 games and started four times. Played a total of 1,508 minutes. Had one goal and one assist for three points.

2010: Made significant contributions in her first season with the program. Appeared in all 20 games and started three times. Played a total of 826 minutes. Had one goal and one assist. Scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over Sonoma State on Oct. 15. Had an assist on the Golden Eagles’ first goal in a 3-1 win at California Baptist on Sept. 4. Was in the starting lineup for the Golden Eagles in the season opener at California Baptist. Also started and played all 90 minutes in a 6-0 win at Cal State East Bay on Sept. 12 and played all 90 minutes in a 4-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 19. Also competed for Cal State L.A.’s track and field team and had the team’s best mark in the triple jump.

At American River College: Excelled on the school’s track and field team. Was the Field Most Valuable Player on the track and field team as a sophomore. Won the conference championship in the javelin and placed seventh in the state. Is fourth on American River’s Top-10 list in the triple jump.

At Union Mine High School: Competed in track and field, soccer and basketball. Earned the school’s Student-Athlete achievement award. Was the team’s Most Valuable Player in track and field. Won league titles in the triple jump and long jump. Also earned the MVP award for her select club soccer team.

Personal: Daughter of Cliff and Mirna Taylor. Majoring in biology. Enjoys camping, hiking, traveling and anything outdoors. Lists playoff games in soccer and competing at state meets for track and field and standing on the award podium as her most exciting experiences in sports.
