The Master's Invitational Results
SANTA CLARITA -- Cal State LA's men's cross country team had good representation on Saturday as 10 Golden Eagles competed in The Master's Invitational.
The Golden Eagles finished 14th out of 20 teams over an 8,000-meter course at Grand Park. The Golden Eagles finished with 410 points. Host The Master's won the event with 31 points, ahead of second-place Embry-Riddle with 55 points and Azusa Pacific, which placed third with 64 points. Among other California Collegiate Athletic Association schools, Cal Poly Pomona, was fourth with 136 points, and UC Merced was 10th with 322 points.
Raye Duarte was Cal State LA's No. 1 runner for a second straight week after finishing in 73rd place with a time of 26:48.80. A field of 220 runners completed the race.
Trent Osburn was next after placing 112th with a time of 27:41.00 and
Orion Perez was 118th with a time of 27:48.20.
Demitri Hernandez was 121st in 27:52.50 and
Miguel Morales-Lopez was 154th in 28:47.40 to complete the Golden Eagles' top five.
Christian Perez was 155th in 28:47.70,
Nicholas Delgado was 162nd in 29:03.90,
Antonio Mendoza-Lopez was 189th in 30:03.10,
Damian Bonds was 196th in 30:47.50 and
Joshua Pearson was 211th in 35:07.90.
Cal State LA will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
