RIVERSIDE -- Cal State LA's men's cross country team got in its final preparations for next week's conference championships at the UC Riverside-Highlander Invitational on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles finished ninth out of a field of 13 teams with 240 points Saturday in the men's open division.
Raye Duarte had the top individual performance for the Golden Eagles once again with a 26th-place finish and a time of 26:20.6 over an 8,000-meter Agg Course at UCR.Â
Duarte had the top finish for the Golden Eagles for the fourth time in four meets this season.
Nicholas Delgado was next for the Golden Eagles, finishing 78th with a time of 27:56.4.
Demitri Hernandez was 92nd in 28:19.9,
Trent Osburn was 94th in 28:26.0 and
Orion Perez was 95th in 28:26.3 to complete the Golden Eagles' top five.
Miguel Morales-Lopez was 104th in 28:51.2,
Christian Perez was 108th in 29:07.0,
Damian Bonds was 124th in 30:31.0,
Joshua Lovato was 129th in 30:42.9,
Antonio Mendoza-Lopez was 137th in 31:52.4 and
Joshua Pearson was 147th in 33:57.2.
Cal State LA will return to action next Friday at the CCAA Championships hosted by Chico State at the Hooker Oak Recreation Area at Bidwell Park.
