Cal State LA Athletics

2025: Competed for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Ran in all six meets for the Golden Eagles. Had a best 8,000-meter time of 27:43.9 at the Biola Invitational. Finished 91^st at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 28:51.5. Placed 161^st at the NCAA West Regional with a time of 36:38.5 over 10,000 meters.

At Mendez High School: Reached the CIF Championships. Earned a first-place medal in the 3,200 and a second-place medal in the 1,600. Had a best 5,000-meter time of 16:57.5 in cross country and best marks of 4:42.36 in the 1,600 and 10:01.27 in the 3,200 in track.

Personal: Son of Luis Hernandez. Majoring in Kinesiology. Lists the feeling of being on a team and making new friends as his most exciting experience in sports.
