LOS ANGELES – Cal State LA had 46 student-athletes from winter and spring sports honored for their work in the classroom as members of the 2024-25 California Collegiate Athletic Association Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls, the conference announced on Tuesday.
A total of 642 student-athletes were honored among the 12 conference schools. The 46 awards are a new program high for Cal State LA for combined winter and spring honor roll recipients, eclipsing the previous record of 34 set originally in 2022-23 and matched in 2023-24.
The CCAA recognizes individuals academically per season – fall, winter, and spring – for all CCAA-sponsored sports. The Winter Honor Roll consists of eligible student-athletes who compete in men's and women's basketball. The Spring Honor Roll consists of eligible student-athletes from men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field, softball and baseball.
The seasonal awards were instituted in 2014 and previously named the Fall, Winter and Spring All-Academic Teams.
Honor Roll distinction is given to student-athletes who are a sophomore or higher in academic standing with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3 while competing in a conference-sponsored sport. Graduate students are eligible for the Honor Roll.
The conference also has full-year CCAA All-Academic Awards that will be announced later this summer.
