CHICO -- Cal State L.A.'s baseball team needed a big pitching performance after dropping the opener of a doubleheader Saturday at Chico State and
Yuichiro Fujiwara and
John Dunn delivered.
The Cal State L.A. duo limited a hard-hitting Chico State lineup to only one run over seven innings in the nightcap and the Golden Eagles posted a 3-1 win at Nettleton Stadium to earn a split of a California Collegiate Athletic Association doubleheader.

Dunn then gave up a single to Nick Victor and a double to Josh Meagher with one out, but he got Ringer to line out to McQuaid at shortstop and he doubled up pinch runner Bryan Willson at second to end the game.
