Biography
2012: Had a fourth outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in the final year of her remarkable career with the program. Finished eighth in the nation in the heptathlon and earned All-America honors for a third straight year. Earned All-West Region honors in the heptathlon. Won California Collegiate Athletic Association championships in the heptathlon and the long jump and was named the CCAA Field Athlete of the Year. Also finished fourth in the conference in the 100 hurdles, tied for sixth in the high jump and fourth as part of the 4x400 relay team. Had best marks of 15.51 in the 100 meters, 25.45 in the 200, 2:24.55 in the 800, 14.60 in the 100 hurdles, 5-5 in the high jump, 18-11.25 in the long jump, 39-3.25 in the shot put, 126-8 in the javelin and 4,908 points in the heptathlon. Also competed well once again during the indoor season. Finished fifth in the nation and earned All-America honors for a second straight year in the pentathlon. Earned All-West Region honors in the pentathlon and high jump. Had best marks of 3,787 points in the heptathlon, 2:23.35 in the 800, 8.89 in the 60 hurdles, 5-7.25 in the high jump,18-7 in the long jump and 38-6.75 in the shot put. For her career, had best marks of 5,126 points in the heptathlon, 25.45 in the 200, 2:20.29 in the 800, 14.60 in the 100 hurdles, 65.92 in the 400 hurdles, 5-5.75 in the high jump, 18-11.25 in the long jump, 39-9.25 in the shot put and 128-11 the javelin in outdoor track and 3,787 points in the heptathlon, 2:23.35 in the 800, 8.89 in the 60 hurdles, 5-7.25 in the high jump, 18-7 in the long jump and 42-1.50 in the shot put in indoor track. Finished her career as the program record holder in the heptathlon, No. 4 all-time in the high jump and No. 9 all-time in the high jump in outdoor track and as the program record-holder in the pentathlon and high jump, was No. 2 all-time in the 60 hurdles, No. 8 all-time in the long jump, No. 8 all-time in the shot put and No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 as part of 4x400 relay teams in indoor track. Finished her career as a record holder in three events and earned five All-America, eight All-West Region, two CCAA championships and four All-CCAA awards.
2011: Put together another tremendous season with the Golden Eagles and earned All-America awards in both outdoor and indoor track and field to bring her overall total to three. Picked up her second All-America award in the heptathlon in outdoor track by finishing seventh in the nation. Earned a pair of All-California Collegiate Athletic Association awards after finishing third in the conference in the heptathlon and the high jump. Helped Cal State L.A. to a third-place finish in the conference by scoring points in the heptathlon, high jump, long jump, javelin and as a member of the 4x400 relay team. Earned All-West Region honors in the heptathlon and high jump. Had best marks of 4,970 points in the heptathlon, 25.71 in the 200, 2:28.03 in the 800, 15.41 in the 100 hurdles, 18-3 in the long jump, 39-9.25 in the shot put and 128-11 in the javelin. Also earned an All-America award in indoor track and field after placing seventh in the nation in the pentathlon. Was named the West Region Field Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Earned All-Region honors in the pentathlon, high jump and 4x400 relay.

2010: Had a sensational second season with the Golden Eagles and set a new program record in the heptathlon while earning All-America honors. Finished eighth at nationals with 5,126 points to earn the All-America award. Entered the competition with the 14th-best total and improved her best mark by 174 points. Finished fourth in the CCAA Championships with 4,696 points and earned points for the Golden Eagles in the heptathlon, 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles, high jump and javelin. Had best marks of 25.45 in the 200, 2:20.29 in the 800, 15.14 in the 100 hurdles, 65.92 in the 400 hurdles, 5-5.75 in the high jump, 17-8 in the long jump, 39-7.75 in the shot put and 115-8 in the javelin. Also competed on Cal State L.A.’s indoor track and field team and had a provisional nationals qualifying mark of 3,391 points in the pentathlon. Had best marks of 2:28.89 in the 800, 5-2.25 in the high jump and 42-1.50 in the shot put.Â

2009: Enjoyed a tremendous first season with the Golden Eagles and was named the CCAA Freshman of the Year. Recorded an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the heptathlon with 4,651 points. Was a member of Cal State L.A.’s 4x400 relay team that competed in the NCAA Championships and finished 11th in the country. Finished fifth in the CCAA in the heptathlon and sixth in the javelin. Had the team’s best mark in the high jump (5-5.75). Had best marks of 25.95 in the 200, 2:23.90 in the 800, 15.62 in the 100 hurdles, 69.55 in the 400 hurdles, 5-5.75 in the high jump, 17-0 in the long jump, 36-5 in the shot put, 114-1 in the javelin and 4,651 in the heptathlon. Also competed on Cal State L.A.’s indoor track and field team and recorded a provisional nationals qualifying mark of 3,401 in the pentathlon. Also had best marks of 9.46 in the 60 hurdles, 5-3.75 in the high jump and 37-1.25 in the shot put.

At Palisades Charter High School: Competed in track and field and basketball. Graduated with honors. Was a city champion in the high jump and averaged 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists per game in basketball. Earned All-City honors in track and field and was a member of the school’s Dean’s List.

Personal: Daughter of Sharon Huntley. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys watching movies, You Tube, sleeping and eating. Lists receiving her first All-America award while setting a school record in the heptathlon as her most exciting experience in sports. Says she loves a challenge.
